Question about texture replacement mods

Hello, I have small dilemma and I would like to ask for your opinion

I always used graphical enhancements like Skyrim HD alongside with other texture upgrade mods.

Most of the time when I was installing everything (fomods first, then manual installations) other mods were asking me to overwrite existing files.

And I always did that.

But today I wonder if it would be better to not use other texture replacements and allow only Skyrim HD to do it's job.

Sometimes when I was playing I could see small graphical glitches here and there (like transparent, not fully loaded rock textures), but ignored them because it was very rare.

Maybe because of that overwriting these glitches were happening?

Right now I've downloaded following graphic improvements:

Skyrim HD all parts (FULL)

Better Dynamic Snow

Detailed Rugs

aMidianBorn Book of Silence (all parts)

Deadly Spell Impacts

Ruins Clutter Improved

Static Mesh Improvement Mod

WATER

Improved NPC Clothing + expansion

Realistic Smoke and Embers

Skyrim Flora Overhaul

Ultimate HD Fire Effects

Can I use all of these mods alongside with Skyrim HD, even when they ask to overwrite files?

Or maybe I can ignore some of them because SHD is replacing same thing?

Any info would be really appreciated. And I'm sorry if I wrote this post in wrong section

Although it's getting a little bit old Skyrim HD is still one of the best allrounders here.

I would recommend to consider these big texture packs like Skyrim HD as a base and to install it first. After that I would install all these smaller texture mods that only replace specific things because usually they are in what they do better than Skyrim HD. For example Detailed Rugs only handle rugs but the rugs should be better than the ones in Skyrim HD. Same with Ultimate HD Fire or WATER.

So if you install the smaller ones after Skyrim HD you should let them overwrite Skyrim HD if conflicting.

I can only give you a very common answer because the real solution would be for you to compare texture for texture that stands in conflict and then decide which one you like more. But that would be a time consuming way. But if you decide to go that route you will have one day an overwhelming Skyrim!

If you want to play around with texture, mesh, and animation replacers, I suggest using Mod Organizer. With it you don't need to overwrite files - instead you set the priority of each mod much like you do your .esm and .esp load order.

I use a hodgepodge of texture replacers like those you listed. Also, I recommend checking out the other amidianborn texture mods. They're really good and aren't packaged with the Book of Silence yet.
