madman2144
I'm pretty new to modding games, so I decided to just start with the Wanderers edition. I've got the script extender and the archive invalidater installed along with Wanderers edition. The problem is that the game crashes upon saving. Here's my load order:[x] Fallout3.esm[x]Anchorage.esm[x]BrokenSteel.esm[x]ThePitt.esm[x]PointLookout.esm[x]Zeta.esm[x]CRAFT.esm[x]CALIBR.esm[x]FO3 Wanderers Edition - Main File.esm[x]FO3 Wanderers Edition - Main File.esp[x]FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Anchorage.esp[x]FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC The Pitt.esp[x]FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Broken Steel.esp[x]FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Point Lookout.esp[x]FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Mothership Zeta.esp[x]FO3 Wanderers Edition - Followers Enhanced (BrokenSteel).esp I'm wondering if I've missed something that I need in order for the game to run, as I think that's the most likely explanation. Thanks! Edited July 16, 2014 by madman2144
M48A5
Equipment specifications? Install location? Does the game run without FWE?
madman2144
The game is capable of saving without FWE. I've noticed that I can load saves from FWE, but it just crashes immediately after saving despite having successfully saved. M48A5
The problem is the installation location. FWE requires Fallout Script Extender in order to run. With the game installed in "Program Files" the computer User Access Control is not allowing FOSE to work. You need to uninstall the game and install it in a location other than "Program Files". Many people install the game in the folder "My Games". I have mine installed in a folder I created directly on my hard drive named of "Bethesda Softworks" By the way, you do not need "Steam" to run Fallout 3. madman2144
Moved the files to the Games folder and it works now! Thanks! Edited July 16, 2014 by madman2144
