nissenissen
I rescently got a really annoying sunshine / glare problem I cant get rid with. The sky flashes like crazy sometimes when just moving around, like the sun would be in 20 places at the same time and shine in your eyes. Its not just when I move towards the sun, sometimes when its behind me, and even behind buildings it suddenly goes brighter and darker by just standing and looking around. It gets kinda straining on the eyes when it feels like you constantly being in a rave party when walking around. I tried do some fraps captures on the problem but they doesnt really show the full annoying bright/darkness changes. Shows mostly on the sky only, but it might give you a hint about the annoyance. (Clips might still be in processing when I post this)Fraps 1Fraps 2Fraps 3Fraps 4I think it started when I messed around with the object / light / item fade settings, but even when putting all settings back on default the problem is still there. I also tried setbDoSpecularPass=1 > 0fSunGlareSize=800.0000 > 0fSunBaseSize=750.0000 > 0to try disable the sun, disable all shadows, reduce most graphic quality, but no change whatsoever. The only addons Im using is the Fellout light mod, but the problem just started today and I have played with it before without problem. Disabling the mods doesnt change anything either.I also tried a couple sunglare-mods to see if there was any difference, without any changes at all with the light flickering.Would be great if someone knew a way to fix this, or even just help me to disable the sunglare effect completely so the game is playable. :ermm: http://i742.photobucket.com/albums/xx63/nissenissen/f3/fmm.jpg
mongrelarchitect
That's one messed up load order. Try rearranging them according to these guidelines and see if it helps: 1) .esm's always come before .esp's, and Fallout3.esm must always be first (and checking it is probably a good idea too). 2) Immediately after Fallout3.esm comes any official DLC .esm's in the order of their release. 3) Finally, .esp's always come after .esm's. Good luck!
nissenissen
I corrected the load order using the autosort-feature in fmm, and no change.Just to add, it was working perfectly even with the "one messed up load order" yesterday. It all started after I increased the object and item distance fading settings ingame. Didnt change anything else, or added any new mods. Guess I go for a reinstall as a last option :pinch:
evilneko
Er, why is the Fallout 3 esm unchecked? And make sure Fallout 3 esm is loaded first above all else (ie: stick it at the top). That's really the first and only problem I see with the load order. Note the mod index numbers: fomm loads ESMs before ESPs regardless of their position in the list. It just looks better with 'em all in one place. ;) You said you disabled your mods, but did you toggle invalidation off? Try also disabling HDR if it is on.
