Fran Armor Add On Problem

I have been having an issue with this one mod and I've come here to ask if anyone can come up with a solution. I've been playing TES games for ten years now and I consider myself pretty savvy at solving problems in the games, be it CTD's or simple missing textures. But this issue has got me truly stumped, so if anyone has any advice, I would love to hear it.

Francesco's Optional Armor Add-On offers some great new armors. I found one set, the Colovian Leather Armor, and equipped it. It works perfectly except for one tiny issue: my hands are missing. The textures and meshes on the gloves are fine, it is just that my hands aren't there. The dagger floats where my fist should be grabbing it. I can't imagine what would cause the game to stop rendering my hands when the open gauntlet is equipped. Has this issue been encountered before by anyone? Is there a solution I can do in the construction set? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Are you using custom body mods?

When you install Fran's it asks you if you're using custom body mods. Maybe you answered the wrong answer by mistake, and that affects the meshes?

I'm just guessing that, because it sounds to me like the game doesn't know where to find the hands nif when the armor is on. The hands should be part of the .nif file, but maybe Frans was installed improperly. Is it just these gauntlets? What about other meshes?

If you are using a custom body mod, maybe you answered that question correctly but accidentally deleted your hands mesh? If so, the game will be showing the regular hands from the .bsa file, which might not be noticeably different, depending on the body mod. Maybe you've been going around with vanilla hands this whole time until you put on the gauntlets and Fran's expects the custom body mod hands to still be in the folder.

Sorry if this was rambling. Maybe you have already ruled those things out.... That's what I would investigate if you haven't.
