Fran Armor Add On Problem

So I posted this question in technical support by mistake, and now I'm reposting it here because it is as of yet unsolved.

I have been having an issue with this one mod and I've come here to ask if anyone can come up with a solution. I've been playing TES games for ten years now and I consider myself pretty savvy at solving problems in the games, be it CTD's or simple missing textures. But this issue has got me truly stumped, so if anyone has any advice, I would love to hear it.

Francesco's Optional Armor Add-On offers some great new armors. I found one set, the Colovian Leather Armor, and equipped it. It works perfectly except for one tiny issue: my hands are missing. The textures and meshes on the gloves are fine, it is just that my hands aren't there. The dagger floats where my fist should be grabbing it. I can't imagine what would cause the game to stop rendering my hands when the open gauntlet is equipped. Has this issue been encountered before by anyone? Is there a solution I can do in the construction set? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I am not using any custom body mesh mods, so that is not the issue. For some reason when these gloves call for my hand models, the models simply aren't there. Does anyone with a knowledge of the construction set know why that might be, and how I might fix that? Assuming that is actually the issue.

Thanks in advance!

Easily. Crack open your copy of Construction Set, and open that mod. Find that particular armor in the object window (Items ---> armor window), and double click it.

When a new window open, there should be a list of body locations in a white box in the middle of the new menu. Look at it (It should be called Biped Object at the top). it should have upperbody, and hand selected.

The problem is that the hands are selected as a body slot for an upperbody-only armor. This is a no-no, and because of this, the hands will disappear when you put on the cuirass.

The solution is to click on the hand slot to disable it for that armor. the reasoning is, that the game engine sees that the armor is supposed to take up both the hand and the upper body. So it replaces the hand mesh, and upperbody mesh with an upperbody armor. This is easily fixed in the Construction set, and should take you no more than 5 mins.

I am positive this is the solution. Good Luck.
