So I've been advised to post my thoughts by an authority on the subject. I've been warned of trolls and their trolling but I feel possibly that those who feel compelled to troll are themselves the loneliest.

 

I discovered a solution to sadness, having been sad for several hours today. It is to begin to watch the movie The Fountain; finishing it is optional and this selection is also optional but it seems the easiest and most universal. After, or during, listen to music related to the soundtrack of this movie. I recommend Pandora because it provides an excellent AI for you. While this or that is going on, think of yourself and your life, and your daily life. Consider the fact that there is someone there, present in your daily life, that is accepting and attracted to you, who you may 1. not have noticed before 2. not have spoken to before when you know you should have. From this point it is up to you to become comfortable in the knowledge that you are interesting to at least one out of the currently defined set and that one is close enough to speculate upon and address. There is always another who is interested in any given person; its why we number in the billions. Go forth and multiply - by two.

 

Also, Heartbreak Cafe is a TF2 / gaming community of which I am vaguely familiar. I do not claim any connection. Any complaints or clever counter-points or other silly nonsense should be directed directly at myself via pm in order to preserve the vanilla nature of this carefully crafted frame of thought. Also I may not respond - I am vapid, flighty, mercurial and intransigent.

If I may throw in my two cents here. As an occasional troll, it isnt always born out of loneliness. Often times it's just playing the devil's advocate. Throwing out the opposite view for a reaction and to cause a change in thought. Granted i'm not a "throw out abortion" troll. I'm a "you're wrong and here's why" troll.

 

Your post does have merit and promise though. I like the idea, perhaps have a few links in your signature, but sometimes trolling is a GOOD thing. Some trolls are bad mind you, but the troll that gets people to think and react about a topic that needs it is a good thing. I apologize if i seem backwards or impossible to understand.

An advocate of the devil you say... I find all people invariably backwards and impossible to understand so I am forced to assign both those characteristics to myself and thereby render the rest of the world securely sane. By virtue of this framework no apology is necessary.

 

I refuse to accept your labeling of my post as "meritorious" and "promising" as if I did so I would then subject myself to a supreme and dangerous paradox brought on by your self defined status as a "you're wrong and here's why" troll.

The thread has concluded successfully. I will try to create a signature which both combats unlovely trolls and praises the loveliest of trolls - chief of whom I now say to be TheCalliton. I've never created a signature before though so I may never release one for fear of failure. Also, hello Thor.
