Orbalgus Posted April 2, 2010 Share Posted April 2, 2010 So, I seem to be having a conflicting issue with Robert's Male Body Replacer v4 and Elaborate Eyes. I know about the googly-eyes problem and fixed that. My issue is that, while every other male body functions just fine with these two mods running, the male Khajiit (ironically, what I want to play) has his skin wrapped around. That is, his nipples are currently on the right side of his ribcage. It's slightly disconcerting. If I turn off Elaborate Eyes, however, the male Khajiit looks just fine. I'd like to keep Elaborate Eyes if at all possible, because frankly I can't find any other decent eye mods for Khajiit, (though suggestions would be appreciated) and I hate the vanilla textures. I tried everything I could think of, but this has me pretty stumped. Maybe something to do with Archive Invalidation and Robert's Body Replacer? I really don't have the first clue. I have OBMM, and the only other graphical mods I use are Exnem's Female EyeCandy Body Replacer v1.0 and Qarl's Texture Pack III. I doubt they're the cause, but I may as well list them anyway. LFact Posted April 2, 2010 Share Posted April 2, 2010 Without plugin, you can't solve this problem. By default, Khajiit male and female share same foot texture, footmale*.dds. Without body replacer, it doesn't make any problem. However, since most of body replacers use foot texture as body texture, and EyeCandy body is 'pure' replacer(does not have any plugin to assign racial textures), installing it can cause messed up Khajiit male body skin. Some body replacer, like Robert's male body replacer, uses plugin and renamed Khajiit male texture to avoid this problem. Or, you can rename EyeCandy Khajiit body textures to footfemale.dds/footfemale_n.dds, then make a plugin to assign female body texture. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
MithranArkanere Posted April 3, 2010 Share Posted April 3, 2010 I finally fixed the issue for me (well, not I, I just used what someone else did) with slof's better beasts.First, you install HGEC 1.21, then robert's male v4, then slofs's better beats, and then copy the RTfootmale.dds and RTfootmale_n.dds files and rename the copies without the RT, replacing the female ones that were overriding the male textures. If Slof's better beasts esp is AFTER robert's esp, the female will use footfemale*.dds and the male will use footmale*.dds properly. Now, here's the deal. If you are using the argonian beautification, the argonian feet MUST go BEFORE better beasts. Otherwise slof's change to skin usage won't happen, and you'll get again males with female skin (or vice-versa, depending on which .dds files you had there).I checked, and the argonian feet appear normally, and the skin works correctly for khajiit. They are just equipped clothing after all.Not all feet work with it anyways, even when you had the current masterlist BOSS order. So it's better to wait for the scripted feet, and meanwhile keep this order. So I just modified my BOSS masterlist to put the argonianfeets.esp before Slof's Oblivion Better Beasts.
