Daynox
heya all  i have dabbled with the GECK to change item stats, and add tables and stuff to certain mods for personal use only.. This is the first time i was using the tes construction set, i added a few more tables to the display room, added some lighting aswell as i found it a bit to dark to see all my Loot. I also added more light to the Main hall with the big fire. What i want to do is add houses to the courtyard as its just a big empty space, i have no idea how to do interiors and such..but i just want a few houses to be there, but...i have the Hoarfrost esp as the master like i did for the tables and lights but there is no Exteriors list so i cant place things in the courtyard  can anyone give me some help? Megatarius
I did the same thing a while ago. Much as I love this mod, the castle courtyard looks like prison yard. The chapel, which doesn't blend in with the architecture at all, is tucked away in the corner unceremoniously, and the stable, which couldn't look more different, is right next to it like they're equals. And then the castle walls are just bland grey stone. Is this a palace or a fort? And then there's this giant rock on the hill above, with a big fat snowbank clinging to it sideways. I spent about 3 hours playing around with different things and I improved it immensely. I put the chapel in the center of the far wall from the main palace. It's medieval times. Church was important. They would make the chapel center stage over there, not tuck it in the corner.I rotated the stable 90 degrees, and put it up against the wall to the left of the main entrance when you first walk in. Stables, unlike chapels, should be tucked into the corner. The spot where the chapel used to be had all this black texture where the corners were. I just put snowy rocks over that and it gives that corner of the courtyard a nice park-like feel.I deleted the giant snowy boulder on its side and replaced it with a non snowy boulder. I grew up in the mountains, and that just does not happen. That boulder looks completely wrong. I kept expecting the snow to fall into the church.I put several of the Cheydinhal mansion models on the roof, cleverly placed so they look like part of the main building behind the battlements up there. It looks way better. By the way, do what you like of course, but Bruma houses wouldn't fit. The castle already uses Cheydinhall towers, and the Cheydinahall houses work perfectly with it. Also, if you're going to move the Church like I did, be sure to move the subspace around the tower top. It's that blue box thing. Very important. It defines the top of the tower as being part of the chapel interior worldspace. Same thing with the castle towertop. I moved that upwards, so I had to move the subspace upwards, along with everything up there.
David Brasher
And then there's this giant rock on the hill above, with a big fat snowbank clinging to it sideways. Hoarfrost Castle is a great mod with lots of story and quests. The rock was about the only flaw I really found.
Daynox
I moved the stable, added 3 Cheydinhall style houses to the lower part of the courtyard, couple more towers to the top of the keep and added some nature..grass bushes and stuff...and it looks awesome  not bad at all for a first time edit..i left the church cause i dont know how to move that box space above it. I saved everything then tried to edit out that big rock with snow...didnt work to well  kinda made it look like the Nothing from never ending story :ninja: now my Hoarfrost castle has a small village inside  ...maybe ill dabble with Interiors sometime, and give those houses to my companions
Megatarius
Moving that box around it is not done in the normal way. I forget how now. :teehee: Getting rid of the big boulder is easy. Just select it and press delete. Post a screen shot. I'd love to see it. I'll post mine. @ David Brasher: I love this mod. I hope I didn't come across as dogging on it. If I didn't love it so much, I wouldn't have taken the time to spruce it up a little.
