Oblivion Modifications - Help

Hi everyone.

When Oblivion came and after i finished it, I decided to work on my own modifications and new plug-ins for this great game. This post is actually cry for help, cos I never made any modification (except changing parameters in scripts). There r so many post all over the internet saying which programs r best for editing all sorts off Oblivion files, but they r all scatered.

My idea was for you expirienced players to put it all in one post, and help us noobies. Sure, some of you might ask yourself, why should we help - the answer from me is simple and honest - as student of 2nd year of Art Academy, section of animated film and new media, I believe I could make wonderfull new plug-ins for this game. But yeah, i dunno how. For now... it will all stay in mine imagination, and on papers as skatches. I would be really thankfull if u would explain step by step how can i make my e.g. armor:

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

1st - I have it on paper - what to do with it after i scan it?

- - - - - - -

2nd - How to edit shape and craft that armor? Where? In what program?

- - - - - - -

3rd - How and where to create textures?

- - - - - - -

4th - How to export it all so it can be recognized by Oblivion contruction set

- - - - - - -

5th - Everything that u guys think it is worth of knowing

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

P.S.

To those, who menage to help me the most, I will inscribe your nicknames with elven runes on armor that i will create :) You have my word on it. Tyvm in advance. And sorry for length of this post. Have fun.

Bumping. No-no. Why is that so hard for people to understand? :P Read the rules please. Thanks.

Basically you can't do anything, so far as adding it to the game is concerned, as the importer/exporter has not been released yet, and you need that. There have been numerous threads back in the Morrowind forums about modelling, you should find info there if you look. The standard program used is 3D Studio Max, which is both very expensive, and takes quite a bit of getting used to.

Texturing, however, can be done, so potentially you could at least put your pattern design on some existing armour. Don't ask me how though, someone else will have to answer that. ^^;

Tyvm :)

Well, i have 3ds Max at home. Well, if i need to wait more for that importer/exporter to be released, then no problem :) Oh well, then ill do retextures until then, and similar stuff.

P.S. Sorry for beeing pain in the ass. I was really looking forward to doing something totally new. Looks like ill have to wait.
