bori85 Posted April 4, 2010 Share Posted April 4, 2010 turns out the version of the above noted mod i downloaded deletes all the vanilla pipboy files from your game. permanently. like, i have no pipboy without it on. and guess what. i can't have it on, the file version i have is broken. initially i thought it just affected the menu slides, freezing after a certain portion of them. but then after tweaking the INI i found out it caused the game to crash after some small allotted amount of time. any way i can restore my pipboy files without uninstall/reinstalling the game? pkleiss Posted April 4, 2010 Share Posted April 4, 2010 When you uninstall, you have to clean the folders of any left over files that mods may have installed. So, after you uninstall, remove the the Fallout3 folder and all of its sub-folders so you can perfrom a clean install. If you have any save games you want to keep, move them to a safe temporary folder (located in My Documents\My Games\Fallout 3). mongrelarchitect Posted April 4, 2010 Share Posted April 4, 2010 Another option: I'm pretty sure that FOMM has the ability to unpack meshes/textures from the original .bsa files, if you want to try something besides a complete reinstall.
