Slawter500
That would probably work.

Argol
I think someone has been playing too much Dragon age. I would like to add in my own suggestion here since it is basically the same. From my understanding of the lore, the Akavir are enemies to the imperial nations and have tried attacking several times. hearing of the peril cyrodil is in they decide to attack. first they send in scouts which you may encounter. If all the scouts are killed it is a sign that Cyrodil is still well guarded and the enemy decide not to invade. If a couple of scouts survive then anvil is invaded. if you can hold off for a couple of days then they retreat. if not then they set up base at Anvil they will then send out raiding parties to pillage the towns and such to secure a supply line to the next city (basically once they have patrols set up along the road to the next city) Once they reach another city you then have to hold them off again. and it keep going. so it is the same as your dremora idea but not as cliche. However the imperial legion will fight back and try and claim back the cities creating a tug of war style element. As a hero you might be visited by an Akavirian messenger who will escort you to the general. he will ask you if you want to join his ranks and rule cyrodil by his side. you can use this to try and kill the general and lower the moral of the invading army or join him. kieranfoy
A hint or two, Argol? Calling someone's idea cliche is rude. Posting your own request on their thread is rude. Make a new thread, don't hijack the old one. Similar is not the same as the same.

Seems your idea would be better fit for this similar thread based more on reality:http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=196717
Spl1nt3rC3ll
Wow, I haven't been here in a long time. Let me just take out the ol' defibrillator and give this topic a shock. Someone might get this thing rolling. It's a shame the computer with all of my Oblivion data on it fried. I made backups in the event of a corrupted data file, but stupidly left the backups on the same computer. Goodbye hours of Oblivion accomplishments... :(
