Geekdomo
I am totally new here and forgive me if I post this in the wrong area. I have spent over 3 hours trying to get DAO-Modmanager to work. It opens up and I can see 2 blank windows. All of the files I have downloaded from here are either .rar or .7z. Fine, I have both winrar and 7zip to extract these. When I go to add one of these to any of the open windows it says xxxxxx.rar is not a .dazip or override file. So I uncompress these and it presents me with several folders. Inside each of these folders is apparently the mod files. I tried dragging these to C:\Program Files\Dragon Age\packages\override\(xxxxxx modname) Even though I have manually entered in the directories in the options area it still does not see any overrides. How do I get this to work? I have done many searches here to find the answer. It seems I am missing some step or something because I cannot download a dazip archive nor can I manually install it. Do I even need Modmanager to see the mods in the game? I know this has been discussed elsewhere but I have not been able to find anything to kick me in the right direction. Geekdomo
I figured it out. You can manually put the files in there and it works. No need for a manager at least for the couple of mods I have tried out. Just put them there and poof it works.
Corehound
Hey m8ie. If you go to the "DAO-Modmanager" mod page http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=277 and search through the "Comments" section of the mod, you'll find several posts from me that have helped allot of other ppl with the creation of the override files and more for the DAO-Modmanager. You might need to go through a bit of pages to find all of them but they should be able to give you the help needed to get you on your way with using this great mod  With best regards Corehound "Cry havoc and let slip the Corehound of war!" DarkeWolf
Ok, the problem you're having is that damodmanager doesnt use winrar or 7zip, or whichever program as an extension/plugin. you have to manually extract the bnaio.override file from the 7z folder it's in, and then drag n drop bnaio.override into the Override Window of DaMM. http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=180608&st=0 starting at about post #6 is where I've covered most of the problems that you'll run into. Also, the main reason for DaMM is so that you can configure which mesh/texture files you want to use, on the fly. so that you dont have to go in, and uninstall, reinstall all those mods manually. just set the override for which ones you want to use.
