sarx8172
*minor spoilers*Title, I was annoyed that Mhairi died, but not because of the depth of her character. In my opinion, none of the characters are very intriguing. I just want a mod that places Mhairi back into your party, just so I can have a female warrior in my party. Even a console command to do so would be nice. Also, voice acting/additional dialogue is not needed. Awakening has little of that already, and I stopped caring for it a while ago (in Awakening, anyway). Thanks in advance.
Sferzar
Try this out, it should work. runscript zz_addparty NPCname Add party member by name
sarx8172
I tried that, and it's not working...does the command itself work with Awakening? When it didn't work for Mhairi, I tried it out for the other characters, but no luck... [EDIT] the command zz_gxa_addfollower NPCname works in Awakening, but so far I've only been able to make it work with Justice. I think it might have to do with the fact that I haven't recruited him yet in my current playthrough, but I'm not sure. In any case, it still doesn't work with adding Mhairi to my party. XunAmarox
I'd like to see this as well. She wasn't developed very much, but I liked the little that I did get to see of her. The concept itself doesn't sound too difficult. You'd edit her joining cutscene and replace right after she falls to the ground (make it a more graceful fall to start) and Sachel Varel starts talking with when he comments on either Sigrun or Valenna (I think he said you chose her well for Valenna? so no to that), but either of those he at least says she'll get up and whatnot. So, you'd just mash those two together and cut out the part where he says that's too bad about Mhairi. Then after that, it's not like Awakening exactly has a lot of dialog, so you'd just have to have her stand around in the castle like she did before when you aren't using her. Man... It sounds pretty easy, I wish I knew how to do that stuff. Unfortunately scripting and cutscenes just aren't my cup of tea. No clue how to do that. I don't know if it'd even be possible to use the voice clip where he said someone lived (was there lipsync?), but having her alive shouldn't be so hard... It's probably a plot flag, right? So, maybe just change the plot flag or remove the bit that sets her plot flag to dead. Then she should just be there in the castle, right?

That could work if you wanted to keep the lore and flow of the game somewhat intact. I was thinking more along the lines of...Mhairi magically appears out of no where and joins your party to kill things with her boo...sword. But your way sounds much cooler :P

To be exact Varel says this (bolded text in quote) to Sigrun.I think your idea would be a great mod. The problem is that the toolset will NOT allow you to properly mod Awakening, as of yet. Bioware needs to release an update to the toolset before this kind of mod can be accomplished. If the toolkit was already equipped to do this level of modding in Awakening, people would be all over a "saving Mhairi's life" mod, beleive me. Vim
For those still interested I've uploaded a console command, vim_addmhairi, that will place Mhairi back in the party.
