A fix for Falling block rifle sights

Hey folks

 

I was just wondering if anyone could made a mod that realigned the sights for the falling block rifle and the unique variant by differentfish? I love the mod and the guns are fantastic, but the cross hairs and sights don't align quite right, which makes it unusable as a sniper rifle, it's intended purpose.

You have to get permission from the author of the mod to alter it. If s/he grants permission it's just a matter of moving the sighting node a tiny bit.

Unfortunately the author seems to have been inactive for a few years. If someone could tell me what to do and how to do it I could try and fix it myself, sadly I have no idea what I'd be doing.

Is there no way to made a patch that would require the original file, so it adds to their work rather than copying it, mightn't need permission then, since the original mod would be required for the patch to work?

as long as you dont distribute it, then i am pretty sure someone could walk you through fixing the issue. but we cant make the patch for you without permission from the Orginal author.

Someone walking me through this would be greatly appreciated. I don't mind about not distributing it, I just want to be able to use the rifle in game myself :)
