loveme4whoiam
So, my character is a fighter, an assassin, and also moon-lights for the Thieves Guild. At least, he would. After getting into the thieves guild and doing the freelance thievery (got it all from one rich guy's house in Bruma, who I subsequently killed for the DB in an interesting way), I got told to go back to see Armand. At this time, the fence in Bruma also disappeared :( Returning to the Imperial City, I drag myself down to the docks and go to Armands little hiding place. Only, no Armand. The green arrow is hovering over where is should be, but there is no sign of him. Also, when in that place I can't rest, due to "enemies being there" apparently. So is this a bug, or what? Could it have something to do with the odd Mythic Dawn attack on that place earlier in the game? Can anyone help - I want to get my fence back so I can steal more! BrightAsh
what i am about to say is just a hunch. But thieves are not allowed to kill on their missions, so maybe that is it. otherwise, wait untill midnight (or 1 am) at that time Armand apears, if he does not appear at night.... then your live in the thieves guild is over :)
Malchik
Enemies could be mudcrabs or slaughterfish or guards after you for your bounty if you have one. Have you done the second TG quest from Armand to get the taxes? He does disappear after that for a while. Check the last journal entry. When the Mythic Dawn supporters start appearing in game they are aattacked by any npc. It can result in NPCs getting killed. However I think Armand cannot be killed that way. The Bruma fence is usually in the pub or at home or walking between the two. I don't know why he should vanish. You can replace them with the console if it is a bug. loveme4whoiam
I did have a DB contract on the captain of a ship whose crew attack me on sight, so I guess it could be them (although I'm a long way away). I didn't kill that guy on my thieving time, I just did it a couple days later for the DB. Plus, it wasn't a mission, it was for independent theivery. Thanks Malchik, I guess I'll have to take another look around town for my precious fence. I haven't done any quest for the TG apart from the initial joining one and the independent one, so I'm stumped as to why he isn't showing up. I think I'll just resort to adding him back through the console as this is annoying me.
