1st Person looking down iron sights freezes for a few seconds.

I need help with an issue i'm having,

every time I look down the iron sights, fire, and let go of the right mouse button to return to normal my aim is still in "true iron sights" mode for about another two seconds before returning to normal, the screen zooms back out but my gun is still aimed down the sights and I have no idea how to fix this.

I've looked for a solution but only found people with issues to the alignment of their gun, If anyone knows how to fix this problem please let me know
