Witchunter
Hi, everyone! The last time I played Oblivion was a year ago. I had to install new operating system back then, so I backed up all my Oblivion save games and formatted the hard disk in order to fresh install new operating system. I had some mods installed at that time, but I cannot possibly remember every single one of them. I installed Oblivion again just yesterday only to find that my save games do not work because they rely on content that is missing. This is, of course, something that I should have thought about when I was reinstalling the system, so it's completely my mistake that the save games are not working. Is there a way to retrieve a list of mods that were installed at the time the game was saved, so that I can install them now in order to be able to continue playing my game from that save game? I tried searching the forums to no avail. I guess the list of the installed mods must be present in save game file, because the game itself informs you of missing content as soon as you try to load it (which is by comparing the mod list - there's no way it can compare all the mods to a save game file in a split of second. Or is it?). Thank you very much in advance,Nikola
alex2avs
Get wrye Bash . It has an option for the save games. There's a list there with all the mods that were used when the game was last saved.
bben46
If you were using OBMM at the time, it has a complete list of mods and load order for each save. Look under utilities then Save Manager. When you select a save, a new box opens with a list of mods that were active, and a load order for that save.

Nietsrot
Thank you so much! I was using Oblivion Mod Manager at the time and am using it now, I just never realized it had such a feature. Thank you both, you just made my day! And thank you from me as well. Figured I should use the search feature before posting in the forum. This thread came up, and solved my problem
