(why does this remind me of Mass Effect where a rouge VI comp activates)
Vagrant0
MalwareBytes Anti-Malware should remove it. Just make sure you don't run the fake program.http://www.malwarebytes.org/ Word to the wise, you might want to install Firefox's noscript and WOT plugin, they can usually let you know unsafe sites before you get infected. You might also want to make some effort in understanding that neither your web browser nor any site will be able to detect if you have a virus. Only a working and trusted antivirus software can do that, and if a message comes up, it should ONLY come from your anti-virus software. bben46
Whatever you do, DO NOT send any money to those scum. The so called antivirus they sell is a rip off. Once it is installed, they own your computer. It will not only allow their virus to infect your system but will disable and block any other real antivirus you have. Then turn your computer into a zombie used for DDOS attacks (distributed denial of service) and send them any information that looks like it might be a credit card number or banking information. Be sure to follow the instructions exactly when using the Malwarebytes program. If you can, run the computer in safe mode for the Malwarebytes scan. Then scan your computer again when you think it's clean. Then wait a few days and do another full scan. A real scan takes a long time. if it comes back in 10 minutes and says it couldn't find a virus, you are probably infected again. Another way is to use a different (hopefully clean) computer to burn a bootable CD with a good antivirus. If you boot the infected computer using the CD, the virus on the hard drive will never get a chance to infect or block it. Here is a link to one. http://majorgeeks.com/Avira_AntiVir_Rescue_System_d6005.html. Then after cleaning with that one download and run the MalwareBytes program to be sure you are really clean. antonkr
Thank You. Will Malwarebytes work with a USB memory car?
