Unfortunately cant really, I mean I could but then when they fired it wouldn't be from the same spot that they are in

I have yet to figure out how to translate something in anything but straight lines, trust me that is driving me insane

I can animate the nif but it still would then fire orbs from the center position IE main node of the nif

I think that would still be better tbh. Could you make two of them circle and the third be static in the middle? And then when u cast one have one circle and one static in the middle and then when one is left just have that static in the middle? That way it's like you focus your magic control on one of them and have the others as ammo.

That, I can do

Wont be for the stand alone I'm done with it but I will attempt that in discworld

As I was just posting in comments I do plan a fire and frost one as well, maybe have them at slightly different heights then cause the plan is to be able to have all 3 up at once if one wanted

They arnt really planned as in combat spells more a forethought, charge up before a big fight change spells and go in with basically 1-9 orbs above your head that will fire off

How about some miscast magic? Taking some rather normal spells and adding a percent chance of failure. A failure in that the effects which are beneficial to the player actually assist a nearby enemy. The same with damaging effects instead of harming the enemy they harm the player.

I suppose it could be interesting if the idea was applied to some of your spells in this thread.

That isnt a bad idea, shouldnt be too hard to add a random and 1-5% chance of failure per some fo the insane spells and spawn them at the player location rofl, insta caught in your own trap, pummeled by fireballs from the sky etc

Wait till you see what is probably gonna be (Ya I say this a lot) the last thing I put out because I need to get back to work on discworld scripts etc and porting all these spells

BunBun A stand alone rabbit follower, he randomly leaps at npcs knocking them to the ground and then proceeding to bite the everliving F out of them

That part is 100% done and working now, he like crawls all over their body and they take 37 or so bites with large blood splatters and bite noises

Second part is randomly he will hurl a holy hand grenade of antioch

Already got it workin just need to model the grenade

The best part is you can pick up the grenade before it explodes and it will be labeled as a weapon so NPC's might pick it up, but upon container change to actortype NPC KABOOOOOM

Also bunbun has a switchblade and a grenade in his inventory, the player is advised not to take either of them, bunbun is not forgiving

I don't know if I'll get it done and refined a bit tonight but it will 100% be done by tomorrow

Screw all these useless 'stand alone hot ass belf' followers, I make quality

Came up with an idea today not sure if it's doable.

You have a spell that calls forth an orb. This orb flies in figure 8 above your targets head, the center of the 8 being the target. As long as you keep channeling the spell the orb will keep flying in figure 8 and damage the opponent every time it hits the center of the 8. When you stop channeling the ball will detonate, if you detonate it close enough to the target it will get damaged by the explosion.

Extra ideas for the spell:

Upon detonation it will consume all mana and deal damage based on the mana consumed, of course channeling the spell should always deal more damage over time than simply detonating it, but this is a good mechanic for kiting around an enemy and then detonating it before swapping to your defensive melee weaponry. Alternatively you could of course chug some mana potions or even chug mana potions to increase the damage the detonation deals.

Alternative:

Casting the spell once summons the orb on the target and casts a debuff on your character that drains mana, casting the spell again or running out of mana detonates the orb and removes the debuff.

Pros:

Requires precise timing and mana control, which is refreshing because most spells in Skyrim are just point and click.

Cons:

You run out of mana after casting so only viable for characters that run alchemy or melee/staff weapons on the side, or those that simply have the money to buy lots of mana potions.

The orb could of course be any random object, from carrots, daggers, a cabbage, a cow, a giant fire or even a wayshrine.

a spell that shoots a naked manequin at people and embeds in them like an arrow.

It then causes the target to ragdoll and enacts random upward forces on them so it looks like they are getting it on with their new favorite wooden blow up doll.

It should also strip the target.

Call it:

Estrus 2000

Manequin's Revengeance
