DaffydMoonshadow
Hi everyone, I seem to have a problem with my fresh, clean install of New Vegas. Simply put, I have NO "relevant" folders in my game. Instead, all of what I would use folders for are given BSAs; Voices, Textures, Meshes, Sound, and such. I have JUST downloaded this from Steam for the second time, to ensure my game wasn't corrupted, since I saw the same problem in my first install. To summarize question: Is this normal, and if so, how do I work around this to be able to install the mods I'd like?
M48A5
Yes, it is normal. Both the current Fallout games have all their data in BSA (Bethesda Softworks Archive) files. You don't have to do anything, when you install your first mod with texture, mesh, etc. files, the relevant folders will be generated. If, however, the installation instructions tell you to install the mod files directly into the mesh, texture, etc file, you just open the data folder and make whatever new folder you need. DaffydMoonshadow
Now, how does that work if I'm NOT using the Data files directly, and I'm NOT using NMM? (I prefer to use Mod Organizer, which installs the mods into a "virtual directory".) Also, I downloaded "Hi Res World View Weapon Textures" and "Mikoto Beauty Pack", and they both appeared as BSAs, no texture/mesh folders. One reason why I'm trying to figure this out is for the various body replacers; they require the ArchiveInvalidation mods, which do not work for me. I have tried everything I can think of, and still get no results. The ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated mod doesn't work, and the AI.txt generator discusses changing the Textures folder. How can I, if nothings installed in there?
M48A5
I am not at all familiar with Mod Organizer, since I only use FOMM to handle my modding chores, so I can be of no help to you in this situation. It is quite possible someone with experience with Mod Organizer will visit this thread and be able to offer some assistance.
