Batch Files?

I did a quick run through searching for this information, but could not find it. How may I create a "bat" file to run in Oblivion using the console code: bat <insert filename>? I assumed I just open notepad, enter in the lines of code I would like, having them separated by different lines of text, and then save it it would work but no. For instance, I would like to create a bat file that lets me just put in bat weather and have my file automatically enter in the following lines of text:

set timescale 1000

fw 38EED

coc 0001c610

I'll be putting in my own lines of text, but if someone can show me how to get this to work, that'd be great.

EDIT: Someone please close and/or delete this thread. I apologize for not searching further, but I've discovered a full length tutorial on UESP. Apparently, I wasn't typing in the .txt at the end of my command when I was trying to run my bat's. Sorry, again.
