Okay so I stick pretty much to just re texturing cuz every time I try to mesh edit I get a headache. I have the latest updates of all the tools, I exported this mesh from blender into a nif file with a parented skeleton then copied nitristripesdata from the new mesh onto an old mesh. I'm not sure what else I'm supposed to do cuz obviously I'm doing something wrong http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/8914/fallout3201004150415158.jpg

any suggestions would be much appreciated,

thanx, OCD

You have to organize the bones of the old mesh to look like the bones in the new mesh then copy over the niskindata and the niskininstance. Here's a great tutorial with pictures. http://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=248 Use the pictures they help. And then I'm supposed to say "look in the stickys modding area that's what its there for i found in this in like 1 min blah blah" xP GL and post up if you have anymore questions.

It looks like it's the rigging (ie the individual vertices being attached to bones) something is up with your bone structure so the vertices are not being attached to the correct bones in the correct locations.

Skeletons and rigged meshes are always the biggest pain to get working in my modding experience, which is why I always start off with simple static objects like guns.
