Carrolj2
So yeah, I'm a modding freak. I was running about 60 or so at a time before my game started getting issues. After alot of work, I decided to just do a complete reinstall of the game. I removed it via add/remove programs. Also removed fook2 and fomm. When I reinstall the game, however, it reinstalls with all my old mods still in the data folder O_o I dunno what causes this, but it makes it impossible to just start fresh again. If anybody knows what is causing this, PLEASE ADVISE!! I'm stumped...
pkleiss
Clean out all files from the \Fallout3 folder and sub folders and delete those folders too. Then go to My Documents\My Games\Fallout3 and clean that folder of all your ini files and save games (if you don't care about keeping old save games that won't work without the mods you removed). Then install the game again. You could also just install the game to a new folder too.

Nihilisaurus
The uninstall only deletes Fallout 3's default files, simply kill /fallout before your new install.
Nadin
There's a program that cleans it out, removing all user-generated content. If you can find it, it would be a lot easier.
Fonger
there is an easier wayInstead of reinstalling, try returning the game to it's vanilla state. Rename the data folder to something else (oldata or whatever you choose) then create a new Data folder and COPY do not move the following files back into the new data folder. Music (folder)Shaders (folder)Video (folder)Credits.txt - probably not neededFallout-MenuVoices.bsaFallout-Meshes.bsaFallout-Misc.bsaFallout-sound.bsaFallout-Textures.bsaFallout-Voices.bsaFallout3.esm That should put the game back to it's original pre mods state. Now start the game and make a save. (its a PITA waiting through all of the intro cut scenes but wait if you must)Now start adding mods, ONE at a time and testing between each one,
