Slyther987 Posted July 31, 2014 Share Posted July 31, 2014 So, ever since i played Dawnguard i enjoyed the Vampire lord and it's perks.however when i played a Lycan i found myself feeling as if there were something missing. So i went back to several horror novels and Wolfman books, films and castlevania games, etc, etc.... in a few books i noticed one thing that really stuck out. an Alpha Lycan, a Lycan with the ability to transform at will, but also have the power to transform into something else. some of the books varied but they had a few simaler themes. the Alpha, or Alphas could…in human form they were stronger, faster and had similar senses to a wolf/dog. transform into a normal Wolf, unusually to sneak past an obstacle, relating to silver normally, or to scout. they had the standard Lycan form, that were rarely used, as they saw them as obsolete. they had a half man half Lycan form were fur could be seen on the cheeks, small amounts on the torso, lower arms and lower legs. they seemed stronger but fully in control of this form. finally the something more…near the ends of a few books the Alpha would get enraged and transform in to this behemoth yellow glowing eyed man beast, similar to the previous form, but fangs protruded from the lower jaw, they were twice the size of a fully grown man but in no way slower. they had no control over this form. (they were coherent, they could speak, but the blood lust and rage ment they would not revert until the thing that pissed them off was dead. after reading a few of those i thought to myself… why couldn’t there be something like that in Skyrim. vampires get the vampire Lord form, why not an Alpha Lycan state. especially since in the books this state wasn’t just something the character was. in the books, this state was either…Bestowed by a Lycan lord, usually by the requirement of needing th power to lead the pack when they took charge (AKA wedlock).earned, doing some great Lycan task and undergoing training. hereditary, the son or daughter of a lycan lord was also a Lycan lord. or taken, in a few books, the power was taken by force, a Lycan would challenge the Alpha for supremacy in a duel to the death. usually the death of the idiot who challenged the lycan lord. but in those rare instances where they won. the power went from the deceased Lycan lord to the Lycan Victor. i spent a few hours of the day whener i was on my Lycan character Toying with this idea. so, since i’m not a creator of mods, (i have zero experience, i know how to add them to my game just not create them, and no were near to something like this. the time i have allows me to enjoy an hour of skyrim to play a few mods.) i thought i'd post the mod idea here. the idea consists of... the forms a small basis for a quest line of some sort. An Alpha Lycan ability that is earned. preferably after gaining a certain level and all the Lycan tree perks. (makes it something to do after mastering the powers of a Lycan. )Perhaps after obtaining a certain level and all perks have a book mysteriously appear in the companions guild that starts a quest to find the person who left the book. this quest could lead you to a large cave network, at the end you could find a cavern filled with friendly NPCs who are Lycans, with their Leader being a Alpha Lycan who has a Son and a Daughter. (for one of the options.)with that you could have the quest go one of a few ways…some long winded trial/s (quest)try to earn the hand of the Alpha’s successor. (a quest to help them be the next ruler. after all the leader has power.)challenge the Alpha to combat. (with of course the immediate loss of any chance to gain the successors hand.) ------------------------------ the forms themselfs could be... (i did think you could keep the original Lycan form.) (a thought did run through my head that the forms could have some form of perk tree.) a wolf form - townspeople would see you as a domesticated animal, most normal creatures would see you as a wolf, could be used to sneak in to forts, bandit camps, houses, etc... but to balance it, Dragua, gragons, vampires, mages and larger more magically inclined creatures know what you are and will still attack on sight. an Alpha form - in the books this form looked like a human, with wolf ears, Tail, prominent fangs, fur seemed to be spotted arround the face (cheaks) and torso (covered the apropriate parts of the human anatomy.) they had fur on there lower arms and lower legs as if they wore them like boots and gloves and they had retractable claws on there fingers. (perks relating to this form could be more Speed and Strenth orientated.) finally... the great beast - this form could be a scripted to go off when and only when the PC or other Alpha Lycan drop below a certain health value. (just picture this going off in white run because youi decided to resist arrest.) it could be when going in to this form your resistances to phisical and magical (except fire and silver) damage increase and so dose your claw damage output. what it would look like, take the Alpha lycan form, add more height, musculer mass, furr, no iris yellow eyes and a more sharp row of teeth. ----------------------------------- perhaps the perks could have some reflection on the dragonborn when he's human aswell... well that's my idea. if you want to create this mod go right ahead. i'll respond if people have any questions. if someone dose create this mod in a more adult theme i ask that you add a version that has the fur covering the right locations of the male and female anatomy. if anyone wants to make suggestions, (if they think it's not powerful enouth or overpowered, perk ideas, etc...) feal free to post.
