vashthestamp
im new to CS and i pretty much got down the basics. What im wondering is how would i go about actually creating a whole diffrent world asside vvardenfell. My idea is to make my own game, and build my own dungeons, towns etc, i know quite a bit of scripiting im just not really good with the CS.So in short: how do i create my own land masses without the ability to goto vvardenfell. Lord Of The Cheese
well first off, do u want to make a totally new game or just add on to morrowind? if you want to make a tc then first off you have to open the morrowind.ini go to the section that says who can merge, then type in the name of your computer( go to program flow.txt and it will have something like this: 000000: TES Editor 000000: Computer Name: Kevin 001836: Video adapter: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 (6.14.10.4403)so for me i would add Kevin=1 to who can merge. then a new button appears in the editor that allows you to merge plugins, you just have to export the nessissary stuff from the morrowind.esm then u just add the stuff.or else you can just add stuff off the coast, hope this helped, but if it didnt ill check this back in a bit, gotta get a snack, otherwise i would have gone into more detail (*edit* if you have xp or other the other windows that u can have muliple users, use the user that u log in as*edit*)

Peregrine
Move over to an open spot, then press "h" to open terrain editor, then drag the ocean floor up above the water line.

DiseasedPunk
Sounds like you want to create a TC. There are blank maps available on morrowind summit that have the vvanderfall landmass erased as well as all the references however the actual data is still loaded. So you can basically start from square one limited to only the morrowind graphics. However if you wanted to make a complete TC then it is possible just to start from scratch and model a ton of new statics, chars and so on in 3d studio max, and export them to nif which can be imported into the TES:CS. If you search around the net there are tons of tutorials on the basices of what you need to know on creating your own TC. And I would recomend forming a team to do it. It's a lot of work. Peregrine
I agree competely with DiseasedPunk on how difficult what you're talking about is. Especially since you're just starting, I'd definitely suggest trying something small first to learn the basics. And do not even think about doing what he said about 3ds modeling an entire new world without a team. I consider myself pretty good at 3d modeling, and I'm finding it more than enough work making a single custom city! Yes, it can be done, if you're really determined enough, but it will completely consume your life for a very long time. I'd strongly suggest the blank map idea instead.... you really have to keep the existing basics around if you're going to have any hope of finishing this by yourself. One more thought.... the off the coast idea is the only way to do it if you want this to be compatible with other mods.
