ell46
Peabot, if you get it solved please let me know and I'll do the same for you. I would like to put off buying a new graphic card for now at least.

Sure, of course I will tell you if I get the eye coloring back. We'll solve this sooner or later, right?
ell46
Agreed  I'm nothing if not tenacious. I have been Googling as well but so far no luck, but I did get 3 other people on the BW forums to admit they are having the same problem, so I know it's not just me. At first it didn't bother me too much, but after awhile I just thought the characters look..."soulless" with those d*mned black eyes. And looking at all the pretty eye mods just made my itch worse.. It feels both better and worse now that I know more people are having the same problem, bad thing is that no one seems to really know what's causing it.. Well, let do our best then! No more black eyes!
ell46
Agreed... DOWN WITH BLACK EYES  It was similar for me, my first playthrough I didn't realise you could create your own character because the options look greyed out I ignored them, then I started to see screen shots and then found mine didn't work for the eyes, everything else works. The annoying thing for me is that regardless of whether you want to use an option or not 'it should damned well work" One thing look at my screen shots above, if you have installed any tints for armour or mods for shiny clothes/armour do yours have flat colours and no sheen? Mine look like the photos in the galleries in the video's that pop up, but not in the game play. I wondered if there could be a connection to the 'black eyes'. Some of the armor mods I've downloaded is suppose to have a "shining" about them, but they're are totally "flat" colored...! :pinch: Hmm, we defiantly have the same problems here... Maybe we have too old graphic cards after all..? Well, atleast we're not alone in this boat...if you solve this you'll solve my problems too and vice verse. Two heads are better then one, no?
ell46
2 heads are definitely better than 1, it would help if some more people would let us know about their graphics sadly I agree it is looking more like a GC problem. I would hate to go out and buy a new one if I don't have to, plus I've been reading on the net that I would probably have to get a new power supply, which then brings into question my motherboard and memory, the more I read the more it sounds like a whole upgrade. Chaosblade02
I have this problem as well, and I haven't found a solution or a cause for it. I started the game out with patch 1.02 and then upgraded to 1.03, and with both patches, the eyes were blacked out, except for Morrigan and Sten. I assumed that this was "normal" until I saw this thread. I won't bother reinstalling the game to 1.02 patch because I know that won't work. It was also like this before I even installed any DLC or mods into the game, which means the problem for me doesn't lay there either. Has anyone figured out the cause or the fix for this problem? ell46
No not yet, at least you have confirmed that the problem has been there before installing patches. Would you say you have an old graphic card? Now we have 3 heads with the problem, a modder called Nukenin on the BW forum said he thought the problem was with the graphic card.
Peabot
Yeah, I did try to re-install just to be sure, and use only patch 1.02, but as you say it didn't make any difference. I'm not giving it up just yet (to find some solution), but I wouldn't be surprised if this means we'll have to upgrade our graphic cards just to get some frickin' eye-coloring... :pinch: ...frick.
