Help removing items from 1stperson view

I am currently working on a full body armor piece which covers everything but hair and head slots. I am having problems with pieces clipping into view in first person and have been unable to find any related posts dealing with how to remove and item from first person view only. Also my mesh which can be found on tesnexus needs some optimizing to reduce its size although it is half the size of some of the more detailed armors available. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=31214 for pics and a copy of the mesh as it exists now. It works ingame, and is complete with normals and textures, but the textures are mostly modified versions of textures that were in my data folder when i started combining items to make this mesh. The normals need tweaking but texturing is straightforward so im mainly looking for help with the clipping issues. Because the mesh covers the entire body it should b compatible regardless of whether the vanilla or a modified body mesh is used. The mesh is in male only because i couldnt find a few key pieces in a female version and my blender refuses to function properly on this pc. Some of the components which i have pieced together are from old files which have been on tesnexus for several years now so Im not even sure this mesh will ever make it to a public release but it is still a ways away from that stage of completion. I will be working on retexturing and possibly mesh combining to make a more believable less darth vaderish kabuto to go with the armor mesh, and i have an alternate mesh which includes a more ninja type hood but i have decided to release the smaller of the two for the purposes of cleaning, optimizing, and whatnot because adding in the hood was simple and caused no issues that werent present in the mesh which did not have them. Basically i need someone to either point me in the direction of a good walkthrough on removing items from first person view, and or some1 willing to download my mesh and work on it on their own to improve it. All credit for the related pieces of the mesh which are custom go to their creators and any help from the community will be cited and apreciated if and when this reaches a releaseable point. I only speak english but if you read all the stuff above you understand enough to help. :) As is the mesh does display legs for hand to hand replacers, it is compatible with multiple body meshes, and it is relatively on par as far as memory use with a full set of individual pieces. I attempted to combine in an animated hair mesh but the results were poor and that version was deleted. Attempts to make a more appealing kabuto have also been problematic as most helmets wont allow me to paste in the items which i would like. This is all regarded as a work in progress. Thanks in advance to any1 willing/able to help.
