  1. Use UXW to extract the games files then you can use yabber to extract individual packs of assets. The part I can't figure out yet is which imaging tool aside from photoshop can actually open the dds files for editing. UXW and Yabber are both on the nexus already.
  2. So this has probably been asked a thousand times. When i equip a fire spell its not a smooth flame in my hand but a flicker. Is there a fix?
  3. the answer was draconicbloodlinev1.10's secret hair.
  4. So im trying to locate this mesh so i can repair its texture path but i cannot tell which mod adds it so i can find where the mesh is placed. its not in a typical folder and i have checked my hdt mods with no luck. Anyone recognize the hair and which mod it came from?
  5. The offending file was a single nif. wrlodwindowglow01.nif to be exact. not sure which mod it came from, or why it is bugged, but i tried several textures to fix the nif and was unsuccessful. im thinking it was a SMIM file because i did not have any replacers for architecture meshes other than random fixes made by that mod or SKYMILLS. im wondering if that mesh was corrupted somehow because i dont see this issue reported elsewhere. Anyone have a copy of that file which works or know which mod supplies it.
  6. these are not optimized textures, atleast i did not run the optimization. i reverted to vanilla and the problem went away, but who can play skyrim vanilla....
  7. So my whiterun seems to work fine from inside town. buildings look fine, lod in the distance is fine too. when i leave the city and look back parts of dragonsreach and some other house have white blocks over parts of the model. i thought it was missing textures but that is not it. disabling enb changed nothing. changing window mods and reverting to vanilla windows had no effect. removing lighting mods had no effect. i thought i read something about smim causing a similar issue but now i cant find where i read that. any ideas?
  8. I am currently working on a full body armor piece which covers everything but hair and head slots. I am having problems with pieces clipping into view in first person and have been unable to find any related posts dealing with how to remove and item from first person view only. Also my mesh which can be found on tesnexus needs some optimizing to reduce its size although it is half the size of some of the more detailed armors available. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=31214 for pics and a copy of the mesh as it exists now. It works ingame, and is complete with normals and textures, but the textures are mostly modified versions of textures that were in my data folder when i started combining items to make this mesh. The normals need tweaking but texturing is straightforward so im mainly looking for help with the clipping issues. Because the mesh covers the entire body it should b compatible regardless of whether the vanilla or a modified body mesh is used. The mesh is in male only because i couldnt find a few key pieces in a female version and my blender refuses to function properly on this pc. Some of the components which i have pieced together are from old files which have been on tesnexus for several years now so Im not even sure this mesh will ever make it to a public release but it is still a ways away from that stage of completion. I will be working on retexturing and possibly mesh combining to make a more believable less darth vaderish kabuto to go with the armor mesh, and i have an alternate mesh which includes a more ninja type hood but i have decided to release the smaller of the two for the purposes of cleaning, optimizing, and whatnot because adding in the hood was simple and caused no issues that werent present in the mesh which did not have them. Basically i need someone to either point me in the direction of a good walkthrough on removing items from first person view, and or some1 willing to download my mesh and work on it on their own to improve it. All credit for the related pieces of the mesh which are custom go to their creators and any help from the community will be cited and apreciated if and when this reaches a releaseable point. I only speak english but if you read all the stuff above you understand enough to help. :) As is the mesh does display legs for hand to hand replacers, it is compatible with multiple body meshes, and it is relatively on par as far as memory use with a full set of individual pieces. I attempted to combine in an animated hair mesh but the results were poor and that version was deleted. Attempts to make a more appealing kabuto have also been problematic as most helmets wont allow me to paste in the items which i would like. This is all regarded as a work in progress. Thanks in advance to any1 willing/able to help.
