Volkihar Bloodline Project

I always like vampiric gameplay in the Elder Scrolls . It was unique even in its lore , that it was based . The '' Dawn Guard '' expansion , certainly offered something new , but wasn't even there . Hastily made , it left me with a unfulfilled sense of feeling . So much potential in the vanilla story line , so little material and most of all shitty made at some point . Even the Volkihar clan's storyline was the exactly the same as the Dawnguards except you were on different sides . Absurd . I'm afraid I can't , like most of us , do anything about it . But I have plenty of material scripted down on the attachments below , about the aftermath of the questline . Make at least your gameplay after , more vampiric like infused if you choose to support the Volkihar Vampires . Much more worthy .

Now the files below contain ideas and suggestions for many things regarding your vampiric identity . Vampire Lord tweaks , new spells spell combos and knowledge , an Auriel's Bow reforging storyline and a new Light Armor set , fit for a Vampire Lord / Lady . Two Characters somewhat ignored , now become more instrumental in your quest for power ( Valerica and Hestla ) until you finally climb up to a point that you put the fear into everyones heart in your path . Details are in the wordpad files . I hope you like the concepts . Keep in mind that they can be created and work separately from the others but still in harmony when all together . And certainly , since their concepts are way different in their core from popular vampiric mods ( Better Vampires , Belua Sanguinare , Vampiric Thirst etc ) , they can co exist with them , if you want to .

( , , , is supposedly the right numerical order but ... well )

Now the forum rules about this section ( rightly ) remind that it's rude to demand anything to be made since guys like me aren't really putting any real work to them to be made . But they can't keep me to DARE modders out there to try their luck . Since visual upgrades , armor and follower mods , recolors are more than enough out there ( perhaps too much of them ) , something a bit more complex and meaningful to a player's gameplay could be a welcome change , I hope ... Cheers , out there :)

Hopefully someone will take up the dare, as I'm working on an opposing mod - showing the lore-based history of the Dawnguard, so you get a better sense of what happened with the original DG, rather than simply reading about it in an in-game book.

Ya know ... doin something about the Dawnguard was also on my list to make . This time the Dawnguard would have to worry not only for the Skyrim based vampires but also Cyrodiil immigrants . And it would be an option for the player to attract Porphyric Hemophylia and its benefits . Namely bein a master illusionist skillful enough to stay in Fort Dawnguard unhindered .

The other options was to infuse the Dawnguard paladin gameplay with more agile elements for the sneaky ones ( no , crossbow was never enough for me , when Sorine is supposed to be a genius in weapons crafting ) and furthermore increase the feeling if bein a holy hunter .

But , alas ... both ideas got rejected by the Dominion project team . Perhaps , if you wish I could trade some of em ideas I got with you .

Nah. Sounds nice, but different enough from my mod that they could probably be compatible, though. My mod will (in theory) basically wisk the player back to the 2nd Era to bear witness to the events that Isran and the others describe when asked about the old DG, and reveal an even deeper secret. Mystery! Intrigue! and a few LULZ along the way :D

There'll also be a Volkihar side, though both will converge in the same dungeons.

But I do appreciate the offer.

Let me see if I am comprehending this right:

Volkihar Bloodline project aims to add a few quests available right after the player completes the Dawnguard storyline on the side of Vamipires. As a reward for those new quests the PC will get new vampiric-themed abilities/spells/powers, new items, or old items upgraded (details in the above linked RTF-s). Wherever it make sense, the new content could be made accessible even before finishing complete DG storyline.

So I don't think it would be conflicting with anything else mentioned here.

But wouldn't it deserve to be better? I don't know, I am not into vampires; I even didn't finish DG on their side. Is what you propose making their storyline less, to use your words, shitty at some point?

In a sense . More like making it worthy to spend time upon . Elevate the experience of bein a vampire since the Elder Scrolls version was never another gayish comparison of Twilight . And of course improve the roleplaying feeling in a way . ( Or the power playing feel for others , make your pick :) ) .
