ninjaking92
I installed the latest patch..Fose didn't come with any directions so I just copyed it into the fallout 3 directory. It seems every time I try to use a script extender it ends in total failure. Fallout 3 crashes like 3 min or so after I start it. I am absolutely sick of this. Is there a reason this wont work? BossDweebe
How did you copy FOSE to the FO3 directory ? How many files were there ?There should be 10 .ddl's - one src folder - a loader - a command doc - a READ ME - and a what's new.Open the zip folder again as a reference to verify you have all the files in your FO3 folder. It is better to extract to a folder outside FO3 so you can see what you have and read the read me first. Then just copy and paste to the relevant location. (I usually just move, but it is suggested to copy, I think this is so you still havethe original files if they get corrupted in the process). I have not used FOSE in FO3 yet as I have no mods requiring it. I've only just arrived from Imperial City, but OBSE worked fine there. EDIT: I also see that FOSE is not compatible with Win Live, so I assume that, if you were already logged on to Win Live, there could be issues as FOSE is supposed to disable it when it starts. Also check to see if you are using the Beta version. If so maybe try an earlier ver.
pkleiss
There are a few versions of fallout that FOSE won't work with. If you have the Direct2Drive version or some non-english versions (Russian and Polish, I beleive), then FOSE will never work with your version of Fallout. Cracked versions too won't work sometimes (buy the game) and there are a few others listed in the FOSE documentaion.
ninjaking92
I bought the game. When I put the FOSE in the FO3 directory I copyed it from the desktop. I always extract stuff and put downloads on the desktop to be ogranised later. Why wouldwindows live be incompatable with FOSE and is there some kind of fix for that? @ pkleiss: I dont pirate my games...payed the whole 50$ at wal-mart. I am not using a no cd crack either. pkleiss
Hey, I wasn't accusing you of anything, just giving reasons why it might not work, that's all. If you install (or already have) FOMM, it will automatically integrate with FOSE and disable live and launch the game with FOSE. It is a good way to start your game with FOSE installed.
