fortune1217
Okay so I am a AVID fps player, I hate conventional RPG's but the Fallout series always struck interest and I've beaten all 3. SO since Bethesda's RPG/FPS moronic gameplay design screwed the game, is there any way I can actually get it to shoot when I click or am I really stuck waiting it out for the game to decide when I can fire my second round? I mean legitimate Call of Duty style combat. Is there any way to get that into the game? Firing rates and all? I have the Ironsights, and combat realism but the game is SO broken. (In the future Bethesda, try FPS with RPG ELEMENTS. NOT DICE ROLLS FOR WHEN I SHOOT YOUR EYE)
ric36
Hi fortune1217, the game is meant to be an RPG, so it is not broken. Having said that, you can easily mod weapons to improve their rate of fire. With automatic weapons, it's the Fire Rate setting of the weapon. For semi-auto weapons, you change the speed of the attack animation. Still don't know if it will resolve your displeasure with the game as it will still be an RPG, but you can try it. roquefort
"(In the future Bethesda, try FPS with RPG ELEMENTS. NOT DICE ROLLS FOR WHEN I SHOOT YOUR EYE)" Fallout 3 is primarily an RPG with combat elements and a choice of weapons, so complaining about its lack of FPS qualities is like buying a cat and then complaining that it doesn't bark. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, of course, but I doubt that there'd be too much sympathy around here with the view that the game is 'broken'. evilneko
"Dice rolls" have very little impact on combat in Fallout 3 unless you use VATS, and zero to do with fire rates. Fire rates can be tweaked in GECK fairly easily. But, if you want an FPS, you really should buy and play an FPS, not an RPG.
