The Potential Hidden in Akavir

Akavir

Guys, I have a plan that I need a large amount of modders to help me with. I personally have no experience with modding or coding so I won't be much help apart from ideas but we're all familiarwith Akavir yes? The Continent East of Tamriel? There is Bare minimum lore on this place which means there is not much we could do wrong with this but my plan is to Create Akavir in a Skyrim Mod, Similiar to Falskaar and Skywind this is a project of Extremely large undertaking and it would take god knows how long but If we could possibly create, or spark the idea for the Akavir Mod,we could create something revolutionary for The Elder Scrolls Universe. Verse yourselves with the small amount of lore on Akavir here http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Akavir and if you're interested in making this idea become a reality, Get this out there,spread the word and get it to Modders of Falskaar, Skywind and Creators of new meshes for race Mods and Enviromental Artists and Everything. I need you guys to help with this, please if this could become reality, it would be amazing and revolutionary for The Elder Scrolls Universe.

I know that is my only concern but I think it IS possible to get done even if it takes a long ass time but if it did get done It would be amazing. But I do understand your concerns of Time and Effort which is why I hope to get this out to as much of the community as possible.

Well, start by posting this on other sites that supports TES, like TES alliance. I guess I can personally support this idea, after all, someone already managed to make the Tescai race in Skyrim. I consider myself to be a talented writer; if you need proof I'll be more than happy to send you a quest I've written for my project, Vortex of Time.

Dang, this would be so epic if it could happen. Nothing would make me a happier gamer than to see a high quality Akavir game, mod, or dlc. I barely know my way around the CK, though so there is very little I could do on the technical side. Either way, I support this idea!

Thanks Brockman :3 The Idea would be to make it DLC-Esque and add the 4 races and the 4 provinces of Akavir :3 I downloaded the Ck Earlier today to try and learn it and kick off this Mod :D

But you just started using CK and you are planning to start work on this mod? :rolleyes:

 

Anyhow, some ideas:

Mod like this is not made on request. It needs some sort of "manager" or "leader" who puts together the team, or starts doing the "critical parts" himself.

The people who would work on this would need to have interest on the subject itself. It just doesn't work when you spam the mails of "best" modders full of crap and hope they start working on this, no.

Bigger mods need some "ambition" and cooperation.

 

Like Northpoint, skywind, wyrmstooth and some others.

There are of course some mods that are made by single person/really small team, like "Moonpaths to Elsweyr", Falskaar and some others, but those took horrible amounts of skill and time to do.

 

Also, yes, there are many people who are "good" at "lore" and ideas, but if we are talking about adding Akavir REALLY into game, it's gonna need just more than couple of ideas or thoughts.

 

In fact, Akavir would be kinda pleasant place to work with, as there is no too much lore of the said location, you could make up stuff based on akaviri ruins, armors and lore based on books. (Which is not much.)

However, this means much more work for those who work with the worldspace, as just slamming Haafingar into "eastern" shape doesn't work. New trees, flora, etc.

 

And creatures. Much creatures.

 

Those who are actually interested, take a look at Skywind, read the forums and check the "Wip" stuff, you'll get the idea of how much work this would be.

(Also, if you are skilled, I'd just recommend you start work on Skywind :D )

I understand where you coming from and I know it will take more than a few and it is a shed load of work and it WILL take for like, ever, but I just thought it would be a cool Idea and I would really love to see Akavir created properely even if it takes a year to get started just want it to be atleast started and progressed on because even if it doesn't get finished another team might pick it back up and complete it.

Wise words.

 

I do love the idea of getting new and fantastic akavir content into Skyrim.

 

Tsaesci race is a start. I kinda dislike it myself as the animations probably ain't as good as I'd expect.

 

Mods like Moonpaths to elsweyr were really famous because those add new content, something alien yet still "familiar".

 

Akavir would likely be a bit similar to eastern countries, Japan, china etc. which would add really new perspective to Elder scrolls game.
