stevieo70
I just got Oblivion for my computer today (I've already played it on my 360). I got it so I could play the game with mods. When trying to figure out how to install a mod, it said to put some files in the meshes and textures folders, in the oblivion directory. however, for some reason those folders aren't there. The game still plays fine, however. Please help.
LFact
Without any mod, you won't see \meshes or \textures under \data, and it's (perfectly)normal. Most of vanilla resources are packed into .bsa files, so no one will mess them when player installs mod.
bben46
The simple way to install mods - most will work this way, some will notUnzip the mod directly into the data folder - do NOT try to install meshes and textures separately as the unzip progarm will automatically place them in the proper folder for you. If the meshes and Textures folders do not exist, it will automatically create them as needed. If you see a message warning you that it is about to overwrite and asking if you want to continue - Always answer YES. It does not overwrite anything that is already there. It appends the new stuff to what was already there. More advice: Link to Bben's Mod Advicehttp://www.tesnexus....cle.php?id=342.
