spong
I posted this suggestion on the official forums where it was about as welcome as a fart in a space suit - I thought perhaps some people here might like the idea - I'd do it myself but I have no modelling or texturing skills at all. Anyone who has tried to make a house will probably have noticed that most firplaces are part of a larger placeable interior - many interiors don't have fireplaces at all - but if you want to use an interior without one 'in-built' there is only one static placeable fireplace and this is the 'castle kitchen fireplace' which looks fine for lower-class style houses but not if you're trying to create a luxurious upper-class mansion. just an idea if anyone wants to make something out of it
Myydraal
I like this idea too, though i suck at texturing, but i will sign this post!

Switch
Interesting idea. The only problem is, you'd also need to make new statics for the exterior as well, as a house exterior will need a chimney, and make sure it doesn't clash or anything with any of the no chimney exterior statics. Apart from that though, sounds like a good idea. ^^ Unfortunately I can't do either texturing or modelling.
