Aranas23
I've recently start expanding my knowledge of meshes using Nifskope, and Blender. I've been trying to figure out what exactly what causes this odd shine to this particular armor. In the first image, you can see how it looks in Nifskope. The second is how it appears in game. I've never really liked this glossy effect. It especially looks weird in the dead of night where there's no light to reflect. Can anyone tell how I can remove this shine from the mesh? TrickyVein
Could be from a few things: specular map which is contained in the alpha channel in the normal, combined with a high glossiness. It looks shinier than that though, which could be from an environment map. Look at the BSShaderPPLightingProperty and its shader flags to see if one of them says 'environment map' or something like it. Uncheck it and delete the texture for the environment map/mask and see what that does (if there is one).
Aranas23
Wow. Found the Environment Map and removed it. Damn, I could kiss you, but I'll just settle for thanking you. Thanks a million.
