Ceruulean
http://www.creationkit.com/Spellhttp://www.creationkit.com/Magic_Effect <-------- (explains Archetypes and Associated items)http://www.creationkit.com/Projectile If you just want to make a spell with existing effects, then you can create a new spell, add effects, and pick them from the drop down list. Anything with Ench- in the EditorID is an effect similar to an enchantment, while Alch- is an effect similar to a potion(alchemy), and anything with Fire is a fire damage spell, etc. This would be spellmaking if it existed. Creating your own magic effect allows a ton of customization, but again, there's a ton of components and going further than what spellmaking would normally allow. Huglarh
Hm, thank you, gentlemen. I could probably use this to make a buff that fortifies health, magicka and stamina for 15 points each, and let it scale based on the illusion skill. Ceruulean
I suppose for a spellmaking mod, someone could create a SKSE .dll plugin in lieu of a built-in spellmaking mechanic, but that probably costs money to buy the program which will compile said plugin. Sjogga
The main problem with spell making is that some things can't be changed dynamicly, such as missile type and area of effect. Even though there are workarounds, magicka cost is also a thing that is hard to implement seamlessly. Also, you need an existing form to modify, so there would be a limit to how many spells one could create ingame. Other than that, spellmaking isnt too difficult. Custom menus can probably be created with the use of SKSE/SkyUI. Most effects such as damage, heal, fortify and plenty of others can be achieved through clever scipting. To sum it all up, Skyrim wasn't meant to have spell making in it.
