Sonja
I'm not sure if here is the right place for this thread or if I should be putting it in the mod section... so please move if need be  I have recently gotten back into Oblivion with the encouragement of a friend, and after adding a vast number of mods that dramatically improve the game, I'm having quite a lot of fun with it. Indeed, after removing various irritating aspects (quest popups, map markers, no sounds at level up etc.) it almost feels perfect..... except for two alchemy-related sounds:That loud clicking noise when you harvest an ingredient (I suppose it's meant to immitate garden shears or something.. but it sounds a bit fake to me)... and the boom that occurs after making a potion. (I much preferred Morrowind's somewhat more realistic gurgle) Is there any way to remove or mask these sounds? Or, are there any mods out there that address the issue? I have done quite a lot of looking around, but so far I haven't unearthed anything.
David Brasher
I have taken up the project. I am most of the way done, but I discovered that my audio editor program has expired, so I have been delayed while re-downloading and getting registered. I have the bad sounds removed, it is just a matter of getting them replaced, and of getting the mod packaged and uploaded.
David Brasher
I have uploaded a mod to take care of your problem. It is available at this link: No More Annoying Alchemical Sounds I never did like those two sounds. I am glad to see I am not alone.

It is available at this link: No More Annoying Alchemical Sounds I never did like those two sounds. I am glad to see I am not alone. Wow! Thank you so much! Here I was just hoping for some suggestions on how to deal with the technical aspects so I could tackle the problem, and you went and made a mod, I'm very grateful.
