Baphomet Posted September 11, 2003 Share Posted September 11, 2003 You won't have to give up your HDD setup, the Deluxe version still supports IDE drives (And why wouldn't it, seeing as how the predicted time that SATA will be mainstream is 2006?). And the sound is 6-channel digital using an ALC650 codec. I'm not exactly an audiophile (Sound Blaster 16), so I can't tell you much more. And what's this about FSB envy? Version 2.0 and above of the mainboard supports the 400 FSB chips. I was operating on the assumption that the non-deluxe version of the A7... would be cheaper since it doesn't have SATA support... Like you pointed out, no point in paying for it since I won't be using it. FSB Envy caused by my current mobo's 266 FSB ... :( Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
