Is there a way to get 85% armour (I think that's the max you can get) through ONE modified ring? I.e. can you custom make a ring in the construction set to get 85% armour? If so, please can someone explain how?

You can make enchanted ring with shield spell(effect). With that, you can get highest armor rating even though your character does not wear any armor, IIRC.

I didn't mean at the spellmaking alter, I meant at the construction set. But thank you for replying :)

 

btw I managed to find my own solution (if anyone's interested) here:

 

The above clip shows some features that can be applied to custom magic items. Shield is among them.

You can make and attach any enchantment on items, even with scripted effects by using Construction Set. Of course, you can change the item's weight, value, and any other parameter.
