phoenixfang
Alright, I've downloaded quite a few race mods. Once in a while when I do, such as the Satyr race, or the races added by Elsweyr, the deserts of An.... The eyes get all messed up, the iris half appears on the bottom off to one side, and the other half is in the upper portion on the opposiate side and in between you get a lot of pink instead of the white of the eye. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it? I use HGEC fighter body, and Roberts male replacer.
TheVampireDante
The body replacers you use have nothing to do with this issue, it's the eyes themselves. Some modders use different eye meshes from the ones that shipped with the game, and so how the textures are applied to them are different. The standard game has one eye mesh with a texture that fits it, this mesh is duplicated and sued as both eyes ingame. The alternate setup used has two seperate eyes meshes instead of just the one, which can allows for different coloured eyes (Heterochromia) and so the original eye textures do not work with them, and the same in reverse, textures for the new eyes will not work on the original eye mesh. Many race mods nowadays use the new mesh\texture setup I believe, Ren's beauty pack being one of the most well known (this is also the mod that introduced the new eye setup if I recall). You'll have to find versions of the eye textures that do work with the new ones, or not use the mod which adds them. The long method is to swap the eyes yourself in the CS, but if you are unsure of what you are doing you might end up creating more errors than you hope to solve. bben46
Most eye problems are related to having too many 'beauty' type mods installed. Each one wants to control how the eyes look and you get something strange. black eyes, no eyes, googly eyes, strange color etc. Look for mods such as 'beautiful people' and any custom race mod. disable all of them and see if you get the vanilla eyes back. Then reinstall the mods one at a time until you find the one that is causing the problem. Beautiful People was one of the early mods that changed eyes, and many of the later mods used a different technique causing a conflict resulting in strange eyes. Some race mods change the eyes while others do not.
chrispapa
Well I had the same problem I was about to reinstall the game and mods (even though it would take about 3 days, no I am not joking) I had the idea of reinstalling the Beautiful People mod and it worked out just fine (for the original races at least). If you have trouble with any custom race try reinstalling there files as well WARNING: this last part I haven't tested yet since I had no trouble with any custom race yet.
