Nekochild08
Aisha wasn't exactly sure about allowing the stranger to have one of their scavenged weapons but if there were people watching them, they would need all the help they could get. Going over to the weapons pile, she searched around with her sister before saying. "Ah ha! Found it sis!" She pulled out an old hunting rifle with a scope attached to it. It wasn't really useful for a firefight due to it being so worn and broken but the scope looked like it would work just fine. Holding it out for her sister, she picked up a regular assault rifle and tossed it to Dave before saying. "I'll trust that you won't shoot us in the back. Here's some ammo for it too." She tossed him two magazines so that he would be able to hold out a least a good while against an attack.
evilneko
Sasha grinned as Aisha pulled out the old rifle. Sure it was old, the wood rotting, the barrel even showing signs of rust, but the scope was almost brand new by comparison, clearly not as old as the weapon itself, perhaps affixed by the gun's previous owner. "Ah, thanks.." She said, reaching out to take it. "You two stay here, I'm gonna go up and take a look. Don't shoot each other." Sasha grabbed a combat helmet and climbed the ladder to the roof hatch. She slid it open, and poked her helmet out first, resting on top of the gun barrel. She waited a few moments for the sound of a gun, then, hearing nothing, she followed the helmet out and quickly lay prone on the roof. Can't be too cautious when you know someone's watching you, she thought. Slowly, carefully she peered through the scope, sweeping the lands around the power station to the east first. The door faced east after all, so if Dave had seen something, that would be where it was. In the early-dawn light, Sasha's feline eyes were less of an advantage than at night, but her slit pupils still provided one benefit, particularly when looking east: she was less hindered by sun glare. She soon found the bot spying on them, spying right back at it. Between the scope and her mutant eyes, she could see it in good detail. She almost wished she could shoot it, but her rifle was unloaded, and even if it were, she dared not fire a gun in such bad condition. "There you are you little stinker. Where's your master, hm? You're obviously not one of the normal wandering robots..." she murmured to herself as she started methodically searching nearby for signs of a human owner. Zephyr2011
A slight beeping noise awakened Cadeus, he quickly looked at the terminal and saw a feline-like form perched on the power station looking right at the eyebot through the scope of her rifle, fortunately the eye drone had fantastic zoom, it was actually his pet project, the lens and focusing equipment a salvaged Collosus targeter from the enclave. He waited for the girl to turn around scanning other areas with her back to the drone then carefully maneuvred it further back into the crevice and lowered it onto a ledge with a slight overhang where it would be effectively invisible to anyone not actually in the back bend of the narrow crevice. He then set the ermegency "trip wire" setting on it, if anyone got close enough to it, they'd get a nice little suprise of plasma, nuka-cola quantom and a healthy dose of radiation. Cadeus double checked the cave entrance to make sure there was no sign of him being there and that he and all his equipment were far back enough that no one could see anything denoting his prescence until they got within a good 30 feet to see around the bends in the chasm. Just to be safe he double checked his Sig Sauer 14mm pistol, had his type 2 dagger ready and his R.E.A.P.R. locked and loaded.
monkybuttface
As he walked toward the power station (for in fact that is what it is) he noticed movement up above, and stopped just short of the treeline, pulling backward into the shadow of the branches he concealed himself against a trunk, the sun at his back he would not be visible in the contrast, as any eye turned toward him from the power station would contract to reduce incoming light, making the shadows all but impenetrable. To his sides were trees, so he doubted he would be observed from there, and anyone coming from behind him would be heard long before they could see him. Nearly motionless, he flipped a mental switch and his unique sensitivity to magnetic fields lessened, filtering out the constant pull of the power station's metal supports and equipment, letting him think a little easier. In this state and way he sat, motionless to witness whatever may occur here, as the shape above seemed cautious, and in no way could it have known he was here (yet), so another entity must be nearby, something threatening. This could be interesting.
evilneko
Sasha methodically searched the area surrounding where she'd spotted the eyebot. Finding nothing, she swung around to search the trees west of the power station. She and Aisha had boobytrapped that area well, as even though there was only one ground-level entrance, unsavory types had sometimes attempted a rear approach. If one was nimble enough, and willing to deal with the barbed wire, they could potentially get onto the roof from the back fence. She swept the dead forest and found nothing there, either, then turned back east, to the few trees there were over there, and the rocky area she'd spotted the drone in. "What the--?" The drone had disappeared. She searched again, but she had lost it. Expanding her search, assuming that it had begun moving again, she still couldn't find it. It wasn't approaching the station either. She quickly climbed back down the ladder and slammed the hatch shut. She leaned the scoped rifle against the wall and put a hand on her laser. "There's definitely someone out there. I think they saw me. That eyebot thing's gone now. We could just wait... traps'll probably get 'em if they come..." Nekochild08
Aisha nodded a little bit at the news of someone being out there. She didn't like the thought of being watched at all but there was nothing they could really do about it. If the person or people knew they were coming they would be able to open fire on the girls and have the element of surprise. Sighing, she picked up her own Chinese Assault Rifle and slung it on her back. "I hope they're just looking around. I really don't want to fight for a while after those Ghouls attacked." On that note, she looked over to the man in the doorway and said with a small frown. "No one has come yet..What are you going to do once you're all better?" She probably could have said that nicer but she didn't think there was anything wrong with the way she put it. She was used to it just being her and her sister so this unexpected additional male through her sense of order off. ((OOC: Oh yeah, the only thing feline about them are their eyes. Their bodies are very much human.))
Zephyr2011
Cadeus waited until night fall when he hoped that the inhabitants of the power station would be asleep and he activated the terminal to boot up the eye drone and deactivate it's trip-wire function. He carefully maneuvred the eye drone out of the crevice and checked to make sure that not a soul was watching from the power station. He then quickly brought the eye drone back to the cave out of sight. Hmmm, guess further investigation will have to wait until this is a little more stealthy and they aren't as alert. Cadeus set to work immediately. He applied some dog fat from a pack that had attacked him a few days back to the eyebot and he used a small lighter to darken the fat, removing all the luster from his tiny, softball sized eye drone. He then opened up the back panel and inserted a fresh fusion battery and put a stealthboy inside so that he could stealth it if need be and it'd be invisible to all but an electron signal detector. That oughta due. Let's hope that next time we can at least figure out who we're dealing with before we're detected. He then set the drone down and slept through the night knowing his mines he had placed near the entrance would wake him-and anyone who decided to intrude-up. monkybuttface
Surn saw the quick movements and obvious unrest of the figure above, he smiled when it looked right past him during it's little scan of the area. Deciding now might be his best chance to thrust himself into this situation, he decided to approach the building, he also expanded his 6th sense back to its full capabilities, just in case. He then moved away from the trunk, stretched his muscles as if waking from a long nap, then walked up to the power station and, well, knocked on the door. I mean if someone were to shoot him for such a non hostile thing, well he would be able to sense the gun anyway, and he was a pretty fast draw. evilneko
He would find his way impeded by a variety of traps and several landmines, which he'd have to navigate around just to reach the locked gate in the fence. His ability however would likely make avoiding them easily accomplished, though the path taken to avoid them would lead him straight to another trap, one that didn't involve metal at all. If he were lucky, he'd spot the carefully-concealed pitfall before falling into it.
monkybuttface
(in simple response and self correction, btw thank you for pointing out instead of just saying "oh look at that guy who fell in the pit" or "oop, someone stepped on a land mine") Surn stepped out of the shadow of the trunk, then walked forward, inching around a pressure plate and then hopping a land mine, on landing he caught himself just short of landing on a thin tripwire that had barely registered at all, he did a handstand and moved over it, very carefully, then righted himself, his feet landing just short of a area that seemed to have a plate of metal under it, he had no idea what it did and he sure didn't want to find out. He walked around to the side and found a landmine directly in front of him, he reached forward, put his hand under the concealing layer of debris, then grabbed it, pulled it out, and pulled apart the mechanism without it ever even beeping (why these landmines beeped he never knew, seemed easier to just go off as soon as it sensed something, its like they wanted it to be fair or something) after dodging a few more varieties of death he found that there was a rather large area in which he could sense, well, nothing. Something didn't seem right, so he bent down and inspected the ground, it seemed that the rest of the way was absolutely trap free... He didn't believe it. He grabbed a nearby stick, and reached behind him, setting off a bear trap he had just dodged, its jaws snapped down around the stick, he then picked it up and threw it down onto the ground in front of him, and it went right through. "well, well, well. Clever, very well hidden. I am completely impressed," he whispered to himself. he then did a little patchwork on the hole and walked around the edge, no problem. He then walked over to the fence, and found it to be locked, now normally he would just shoot the lock, but they were so hard to come by nowadays, and he didnt want to ruin what might be a perfectly peaceable person's security. Unfortunately he had broken his last bobby pin, so he couldn't really pick it... "screw it," he said, walked back to the pitfall, cleared some of the covering away to make this easier, he then pulled out the landmine he had taken earlier, reassembled it, armed it, activated it, then threw it into the pit. The explosion made quite a noise and he walked back to the gate, put his hands on his head, and waited.
