Nekochild08
Aisha gasped when she heard the explosion nearby. It sounded muffled though. Could it have been the pit trap? Thinking quickly, she ran to the ladder and climbed up, quietly opening the hatch before slipping onto the roof in the prone. She had never fallen asleep since she knew that the person was watching and waiting for some kind of opportunity. She wondered who it was though. Not many people even made it to the pit. Sneaking to the edge of the roof and peeking over, she saw someone near the gate. Hiding herself back behind the roof, she shouted. "Who's there? Why are you here?" Her voice was obviously that of a child so maybe that would put him off guard a little.
monkybuttface
Surn was surpirsed to hear a child's voice, "My name is Surn, I kinda noticed your setup here, and well, I thought I would come say hello, you take 'stay off the grass' a little serious ya know, anyway my hands are on my head and my gun is in my holster, I mean no harm, at least not until you decide you wanna harm me ya know?" he raised his hands a little higher for good measure. He then looked up at the roof and smiled, real friendly and non-threatening, despite not being able to see the girl, he thought it wouldn't hurt his cause. Nekochild08
Peeking up from the roof, she looked over the man and saw that what he was doing what he said he was. Relaxing a little but not getting too comfortable, she said to the man suspiciously. "Well you can never be too safe. Are you satisfied with knowing that we live here? We can't exactly give you a grand tour you know. It's really not all that exciting after all. Probably just like any other power station." She shrugged and then waited for the man to respond. She was trying to be friendly since it worked a lot better than just opening fire and it saved precious ammo too. She was still suspicious of the man but she was at least comforted by the fact that he seemed nice enough to talk to.
monkybuttface
"well," he said, "I noticed you seemed like you were looking for something, not something you were happy to see either, and I figured maybe something interesting was about to go down" He was pretty sure the girl wasn't going to shoot him, and something about the head that had looked over the side.... something in the eyes, this was no ordinary child, he was sure of that, and he wanted a better look at those eyes, being a mutant himself, he was curious about others who had been affected by the radiation. Maybe why he got along so well with ghouls.
Nekochild08
She began to think about what she could say back to the man. She didn't know how smart it would be to tell him that they were being watched but after a moment of debate with herself she decided that it was worth the risk. Maybe he would be able to help them. He had gotten past their traps so he couldn't have been that bad. Getting up and into a sitting position with her legs dangling over the roof, she kept her assault rifle at the ready as she said. "Well, we spotted an eyebot looking at us a while back. It wasn't one of those radio bots either, this one was looking right at us according to sis. I have a feeling someone is watching us and I don't like it at all." He could see her fully now. Her green feline eyes, her tattered shirt and shorts, bare feet. If she didn't have a steeled look in her eyes anyone would mistake her for just your average innocent little girl.
evilneko
Speaking of sisters, Sasha was getting a bit anxious down in the one-room power station. She could sort of hear Aisha on the roof, but she couldn't hear the other man. Sheesh, it'd been a strange day. First Dave, now some other guy comes knocking, and shots hadn't been fired yet. Usually, visitors meant a fight. Sasha wondered how it was going, but she wasn't quite willing to leave Dave by himself with all of their belongings. Then again if he bolted, he wouldn't make it far between his torn up leg and the gauntlet outside the fence. Curiosity getting the better of her, she decided at least to poke her head out to check with Aisha. She climbed up the ladder, slowly poking her head through the hatch to see Aisha calmly sitting dangling her feet over the edge of the roof. "So... not here to shoot us I guess?" monkybuttface
At the word "eyebot" Surn's heart skipped a beat, he did NOT want to be out here with one of those things, with their humming engines and the always shifting feel of their innards. Those things creeped the heck out of him, like some people are afraid of roaches (the normal kind, from those old holovids, not the flesh shredding things we have now) And he now felt desperate to get inside, NOW. "Oh God, did you say eyebot!" his face getting paler by the second "Let me in!, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, LET ME IN! Dont leave me out here with that... THING lurking around!" he was sweating now, the bit of rationality inside him said he could just cap it if it came near, and he would do so in a flash, but the rest of him said to get as far away from such an unnatural abomination as he can. "Oh God I hate robots," he said in a voice just above a whisper, his whole body shaking in terror
Zephyr2011
Cadeus had heard the explosion as well and crept silently up to the mouth of the cave he had made his base of operations and zoomed his collosus targeter in on the rather amusing scene unfolding below him. He saw the man holding his hands above his head and the girls chatting with him. Hmmm, seems as good a time as any, plus our new little friend has conveniently shown me where all their little traps are hidden. Cadeus packed in haste. and readied several stealth boys, he usually detested them but sometimes it was better to be safe than sorry.
Nekochild08
Aisha gasped a little when she saw his reaction to the word eyebot. He seemed to have some sort of phobia of them. She didn't think it was odd though, since her sister found her love for mole rats to be weird and she had a love for teddy bears herself. She felt a little bad for the guy so she turned to her sister and said with a smile. "I think we should let him in. He seems harmless enough and if someone's watching us it would be a good chance to gather more troops to fight back." She sounded like she was rallying an army or something. Giggling, she said. "Hold on, my sis is going to open up the gate. Don't try anything funny, we've got weapons too." She wasn't threatening too much, she was just giving a warning. She loved her sister the most and would kill anyone that tried to hurt her.
evilneko
Sasha grimaced. "Oh, alright... we'll let him in. But no more strays... there's only two of us." Still, she thought, how dangerous could a man afraid of robots, especially eyebots, actually be? She grumbled a bit, climbing back down the ladder and opening the large metal front door. With doors this noisy, certainly no one was going to be able to sneak into the power station. She stepped over a nigh-invisible tripwire, and made her way to the gate with her laser held ready. "Step back, I'm gonna unlock the gate now," she said, waiting for him to move back before she lowered her weapon and reached for the lock. "Oh and, you owe us a mine, too."
