As though nothing of this initial encounter with this strange fellow has transpired she recomposes herself to an almost knightly presence.

"I wouldn't track her, even though I could. Her pride has taken a huge blow, something a warrior of her type will not bear easily. For now she needs her space; I trust that she'll find us shortly."

She sets her polearm safely across her back and pulls out what appears to be a map with some rather detailed notes written on it.

"I've done some research in the archives, from what I've been told and have read, the best place to look for any vampires in this area would be these Dwermer ruins," she points to them on the map.

"Sure she will eventually make her way there, so I suggest we leave this rather tense area and make our way there. Oh and I trust you are skilled with a bow, yes?"

<ooc: 1) Its ALENEE. And no, you don't know her name. 2) Yes, I'm refreshing the chameleon spell often enough to keep concealment until i get into the forest. 3) how far apart are the islands? Short enough to swim across?>

O.K....

There is no forest on the island all of you are currently on. You are towards the western side of a horizontal island. To you east are mountains. The island is 125 miles wide, 50 miles high.

(Presume most islands are somewhat like this, just the langth/height switched)

The River, as it is called, is 10 miles wide, with dangerous currents. A ferry is the only mundane way there. You could go and levitate or waterwalk, but that would waste ALOT of magicka.

Akkli:

There is one inn on the island. The Fish Hole is not a particularly nice inn, but it serves. The room contains 1 hammoc, dinner, dresser for 3 gold. pillow extra.

Now well away from the city, and with a few low hills between them, Alenee finally lets the chameleon spell fade away. Tired both mentally and physically, she lies down to sleep for a few hours.

About four hours later, Alenee wakes up again. Night is approaching quickly, bringing a welcome temperature drop and concealing darkness to the desert. And equally welcome is the new clearness in her thoughts. Though still painful, the events back in town no longer dominate her thinking. She pulls out the map she took from the archives, and studies it for a few minuites. Now sure of her position, she gathers her remaining posessions, and heads off in the direction of the river. "With a bit of luck," she thinks, "I'll be able to get there before news of the disaster reaches the ferry."

"No need for that now, let's just head towards those ruins, we have a long journey ahead of us by the looks of things," she starts to look around the area.

"I suppose we should stock up on supplies, it will take us about six days to make that trip; assuming you can keep up of course," she smiles lightheartedly.

She heads in the direction of the market, appraoching a tannery she asks, "Where can I find some preserved meats and vegetables. Water supplies would help too."
