xxfmanxx Posted May 2, 2010 Share Posted May 2, 2010 I am beginner moder. i know how to work with textures (how to change them, and add them to the model), but i dont know what to do if i want to make some parts of the armor or sword shiny in game. do i have to do something in nifskope, or do i have to do something while I'm saving dds file. do i have to click something in the nvidia dds format screen. i would appreciate any help i can get, thanks in advance. LHammonds Posted May 2, 2010 Share Posted May 2, 2010 Shine vs Dull textures are controlled in the Alpha channel of the normal map. You can go one step further and add a glass effect to create a reflective metal look.
