CM ai problems

So I picked up Oblivion a few days ago, almost instantly I made my way to this site and started getting mods to make the game more fun. Yesterday I found the companion mod and it seemed quite fun. The problem is my companions won't attack my enemies, all they do is follow me and stand in my way when I'm fighting. They seem to have a grudge against some random NPC in the bloodworks(Arena), but they refuse to do anything at all to aid me when I fight combatants in the arena.

I figured it shouldn't be the added NPCs fault as the AI comes from the original mod, not the added NPCs from that mod, but just in case I linked it anyway.

 

Also I have tried setting them to different attack styles, agressive - passive doesn't change anything for me. Does anyone else have this problem? Have you fixed it or are they really this dumb? Nobody complained on the comments for this mod or the original mod so it feels like I'm alone with this problem.

No, you are not alone with this problem, the arena is like a whole different world space with it's own rules and most companions will not join or help you fight there, Vilja is the only one i have found who will.

If your companions are not fighting outside the arena then this is problem with their aggression levels, something must have happend to alter them, and i cannot advise how to fix this except to say try a complete re-install of the mod and have it last in your load order, if that does not work then if you know how to use the Construction set try to adjust their aggession levels in there.

Try these companions also for a while just to see if there is a difference.

Oh, and have the latest unofficial patches installed as well, this might help.

Ah, it was just the arena. Just tested, they fight perfectly fine outside, thanks for the help :)
