LHammonds
Work-In-Progress - Gotta stop now and continue research later. Background Story (can be skipped and you won't miss anything) Back in the day, I bought a piece of Microsoft hardware (called SideWinder Game Voice) that allowed me to speak customized commands into a desktop-mounted microphone. It worked VERY well for Battlefield 1942 and Call of Duty (well, it was some kind of shooter like that). However, Microsoft dropped all support for it and it would not work in the next version of Windows which was released soon after I bought it. There I was, impressed with my level of communication in Battlefield (able to relay enemy positions and units) but stuck in Windows 98/ME and unable to move onto Windows XP. I eventually moved on and tossed the hardware out when I found nobody could make it work. I later found that it was just a test for the XBOX hardware...serves me right for buying any hardware from Microsoft other than a mouse! Voice Command Software (this is what you really want to read about) I am doing some research to find all the possible solutions out there that exist (hardware, software, free and otherwise). If you have any suggestions or experiences in this area, please feel free to share them here.
