Oblivions List Of Materials

Hey thanks for filling me in on ES' lore. I look forward to collecting more Mithril and Dwemer information.

I'm rebalancing the leveled lists and I want to have ALL my numbers operate off a core spreadsheet.

This is the BASE last for those numbers. Tell me what you think, and if something should be changed.

The items at the top of the list are more commen then the items at the bottom. Orcish, Elven, and Daedric items will have special considerations for leveled lists pertainint to Orcs, Elves, and Daedra.... (obviously).

The levels are the approximate PC level to appear in leveled lists, this does not effect placed items in the main quest, bosses, ect.

Fur [most common, level 1]

Leather [most common, level 1]

Iron [most common, level 2]

Chainmail [common, level 4]

Steel [common, level 6]

Silver [rare, level 8]

Mitheral [extremely rare - I need more information. This is dwarven material LIGHT armor. lvl 15]

Dwarven [extremely rare - I need more information This is dwarven material HEAVY armor. lvl 15]

Elven [rare - Elven NPCs will have more of it. level 20]

Orcish [rare - Orc NPCs will have more of it. level 20]

Glass [extremely rare, level 25]

Ebony [extremly rare, level 25]

Daedric [nearly imposssible, Daedra will have more of it. level 30]

This is all for a new rarity mod.

For those folks who think that the majority of the game should be Iron and Steel.

I'm also reducing the frequency of 'Magic' equipment.

Input is nice.

Tell me more about mitheral and Dwarven stuff.

Thanks

I'm not sure Mithril is Dwarven. Mythril was in Middle-Earth but I'm not sure it applies in Tamriel. ^^

If you release this mod you'd need to rebalance the monsters as well. The fact that armour is quite easy to acquire is the only thing that stops melee characters from being turned to mincemeat by boars. :P

High five on that.

I think what he meant by mithril being light dwarven is that you start seeing mithril about the same time as dwarven, and that it is similar in stats when compared to the others in the leveled lists.

Such as, fur is the light counterpart to iron

leather is to steal

and mithril is about the same as dwarven.
