Corrupted Saves?can It Be?

ok,this is a post following the "Big problem in Anvil" in which nobody answered,

this problem has lasted 3 weeks so far and its getting really annoying,so can anyone tell

me(if he knows) if there is a possibility that my save is corrupted somehow.

Is there a way to modify .ess files ...? or check if they're corrupted?
