zAzAaZOZO
I was searching Google for a walkthrough for Broken Steel, when I stumbled upon a YouTube vid for a modified Megaton house. I was astounded at the size of the rooms, the shag carpet, chandeliers, the big basement, the new kitchen and bathroom that doesn't look like some third world s--thole I had to use in my travels, an exterior upper deck along with couch seating and a complete view of Megaton. I was astounded that this could be done. I then went to the NexusMods link, joined and began looking. I was practically salivating at the the new multi story suite in TenPenny Tower and then lo and Behold! The Mansion along with living trees all around it! Cooks! Security! And scantily clad better-looking dancing babes! And I still get to blow people away with my magic .44 magnum! I have discovered Cyber Heaven! Here is my problem. I first downloaded the newest patch and then I downloaded the Megaton House upgrade and the Wasteland Mansion. With FOMM downloaded also I first tried to load the Megaton House after moving the files to FO3s Data file. When I attempted to load the esm for that and the mansion by clicking on those folder files under Data, FOMM can't find the esms. The esm for the patch is there as 00 in the list along with the second disc's quests. I simply checked it and loaded all of them. I then played the Garden of Eden over again and this time Sarah did offer and actually gave me the Brotherhood's armor she rewarded me with. That proves the patch worked at least. Something is wrong with the FOMM loading the esms for the two buildings. Is there a good primer for moving files to the right location and then loading them into FOMM for execution? I thought it looked fairly straightforward, but there appears to be something I am not doing right. Can anyone help me with or point me to a suitable resource for self learning? Thanks. BlackRampage
In what directory did you install FoMM? If you installed it in your Fallout 3 directory, then that's why it can't see all plugins. Reinstall it in another directory.
zAzAaZOZO
I installed Fomm in its own directory.
zAzAaZOZO
Eureka! I found out what I was doing wrong! I now have the Mega Estate and the cool redo on the Megaton House. I downloaded the pics for the Megaton House tonight and I am going to download the Tenpenny Suite and Tower redo tonight. I'll install it in tomorrow. Yabba Dabba Dooooo! Thank you so much NexusMods. One question however. There are no followers in my new Megaton Home. How do I get a few babes there? I want some sexy new wholesome girls. Or not. As long as they're good dancers, they can be as sleazy as they wanna be. Anyone got any suggestions? I didn't see any files on the personal computer for NPCs. Did I miss something?
