cdo947214
I'd like to learn how to create mods. What are some programs other than GECK that modders use?
Xilandro
NVSE, Geck PowerUp, FNVEdit, FOMM (has a lot of useful features like built-in BSA unpacker), Nifskope, Blender\3ds max, GIMP\Paint.net\Photoshop.
bben46
You will need to start with GECK as that is needed to put the mod into the game - Learn GECK, it will save a lot of time later when you are doing something in some other program - then learn you could have done the same thing but faster and with less hassle in GECK to begin with. Ladez
Just focus your efforts on the GECK for now, that's all you need unless you're going to be making models and textures. Visit the GECK wiki and study some of the tutorials there. There usually is at least one page explaining a given subject.
thebestdamncourier
The geck will also give you XP on running unstable and non-user friendly programs. (Bitter)
